Reviews
The place is really great food wise. Very authentic Italian flavors, the olive oil used felt original - something super rare nowadays to find. Also if you visit the place, be ready to taste Italian the way it should be. I was impressed.
As for the service and atmosphere, I didn't feel anything stands out. Honestly not super impressed but there is nothing in particular to complain. Simply put I have had better gestures when visiting a place matching La Fontana stature in the Greater Seattle area. Since this dinner was to celebrate a birthday, they could have maybe made dessert complimentary.
Tables around the fountain really add to the ambience of this restaurant. We were seated inside though, felt like one was dining in Italy, very rustic interiors. Service was good, they checked on our table several times. Food was good, though the quantities were too much. Enjoyed my pesto pasta. Risotto could be better. Deserts were decent. All in all, a good date night spot.
We wanted to visit in September but there were no tables available until November. This place was worth the hype! The atmosphere was wonderful. It was 45° outside but they had heaters outdoors, and we sat near the fountain. It was a Saturday night but our server, Jeff, was attentive and gave great recommendations!
Make sure to ask what the specials are. The food was delicious; it was the best Italian food we've had in Seattle. We will definitely return soon.
Waited for 2.5 months to finally get our reservation and it was worth the wait. The service was immaculate and the food if you like creamy Italian dishes, this is your heaven. We ordered the calamari, mushroom risotto, prawn tortellini and ended with tiramisu. So much flavor in each bite. Will be coming back for sure.
It was my first time at this place and I was not disappointed. The ambience is cozy and warm. With brick wall linings it goes for an old rustic look resembling restaurants with English basements in NYC or the Midwest. The food was delicious, I sampled smoked salmon with ink colored pasta. They serve bread baskets with olive oil. Don't hesitate to try their desserts. The joint is on the pricey side but worth it!
Came here early and was able to be seated. They are usually booked out for a while. Food was good but not the best. Appetizers had too much vinegar but the pasta was good. Servers were amazing and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Parking is difficult.
Came here for a birthday dinner for both of the parents. The atmosphere is so cute and cozy. Reminded us of Italy so much. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The service was really good.
HOWEVER!!!! The food was not good. At. All.
We all ordered different things and each tried eachother’s food. And the food was not tasty 😬.
We ordered deserts and espresso those were absolutely delicious. I would come back for the atmosphere, the deserts and espresso again. But not for dinner.
Eat dinner somewhere else and come here for the delicious deserts.
We took a road trip, drove nearly three hours to check out this place after seeing the gorgeous seating on social media. But honestly it was disappointing, both in terms of food and service. I wouldn't have minded the overpriced pasta if it had been as great as they claimed.
We ordered the Tortellini Cefalu, and while the sauce was pretty tasty with hints of pistachio, the pasta was practically swimming in oil. The Cheese Ravioli was just okay, leaning on the bland side. The Bruschetta was the only thing that didn't disappoint.
Despite us being really nice, the servers acted kinda dismissive… (Maybe it’s the Canadian in me that just can’t understand why our US friends have to be so stand-offish.) Weird, especially considering I'd made a reservation two months ahead and mentioned we were celebrating my sister's birthday. What did we get for the celebration? A card saying "Congratulations on your special day," and a waiter who thought it was our anniversary. Bizarre!
The only redeeming thing was the restaurant's beautiful seating area, just like on Instagram. But honestly, I'm not sure if that's enough to bring us back.
